Good as far as it goes, especiallly the striving for transparency, reproducibility, and minimizing downstream impacts.

Notably missing, however:

• an explanation of how it happened in the first place
• concrete steps that will be taken to prevent it from happen again

@feld I'm also disappointed that running freebsd-update doesn't, at an absolute minimum, update freebsd-update itself to provide breadcrumb guidance for what to do instead.

Not sure when they changed it, but my Pixel phone with device level Advanced Protection now lets me bump up Call Screening to Maximum. (Previously, it mandated Medium, but wouldn't let you exceed it.) Excellent!
