Tomatoes, lettuce, apples... the tech to automate them is out there now, it's not a big deal anymore. People are losing their goddamn minds thinking this is impossible like the first time someone explained the cotton gin to their great grandparents

@cstross 10 years ago that used to be true, yeah. But every year now we check at least one of those crops off the list that people said were impossible to automate

@cstross do you actually think we should have humans in fields in 100F+ weather picking strawberries and such?
