@georgia my point still stands. Actually no, you'd have to be avoiding sex on purpose in order to not get any by the age of (almost) 30. This isn't asexual, it's proactively antisexual.

@newt i could give a timeline of why i didnt have sex at each point in my life but its very personal. the overarching reason is because ive been on ssris for so long though.

If he has been taking SSRIs for a long time he''s not lying, although if he's horny (as he says) when it's OFF the antidepressants, he's definitely not asexual.

@kernow @georgia @newt IDK, I'm not asexual, but my trusty Russian friend told me it's when you are not interested in it for a number of reasons (could be childhood trauma, teenage bullying, IDK) - but he retweets posts of beautiful faeries, being asexual it's not being able to make pregnant a woman in the correct conditions. That's all I know.

@anokasion @kernow @georgia @newt even then the "not interested in sex for a number of reasons" isn't always a "true asexual" i'd tentatively add the "not capable to get aroused" and the more specific "has no arousal related attraction towards anything" to the traits

That's not being asexual.

I have seen that too but only once IRL. I still feel like it's performative and in the end it's just straight with extra steps but it's their lives so I don't care a lot about it

@newt @georgia I'm on semi SNRIs too, they work more on Norepinephrine than Serotonin, but the basics are the same. After 4 or 5 days of nofap my will it's stronger. Maybe it depends on the medication.
