Many such cases.
>By driving a classic car or attending a classic car show you are celebrating and reinforcing an era of misogyny, racism and homophobia.
Makes me proud to be driving my "old" diesel car as my main driver.
It's time for a civil war
Let them block the streets while my 5 ton coupe de ville has the green light
Funnily enough I keep my vehicles perfectly maintained. Unless it's cosmetic damage, which has never bothered me. Taking a key to a vehicle I own would probably be the least offensive 'offensive' thing someone could do to it as far as I'm concerned.
And yes, boomers' disposable income allowed them to be extremely irresponsible with 'land yachts' which I frequently see for WAY below their asking price. I've considered purchasing one just to have as a backup home or for friends to stay in.
It's weird to me how they view campers as depreciating asset at a time when younger people are desperate just to get and keep a roof over their heads. Hopefully boomers stay that ignorant about it.
By "land yachts" I mean old "personal luxury" cars or other large old cars that aren't fit to be hot-rodded or turned into some boomers masculine display piece, think of old 70s full-size cars, etc. RV's are an entirely different can of worms.
The best "classic car boomers" are the ones who are into obscure stuff. They actually seem to care about the car itself and will talk at length about the quirks of it, and often are even be willing to pass on their knowledge. Whereas the average boomer cares about them no more than the status symbol and nostalgia toy that it is to them.
Town Car has a little too much bling for my taste, but I've been tempted by a Crown Vic or two.
With that LGBT flag as their icon, the whole concept of a "fuck cars" subreddit has a new meaning.
There's no classic cars from the 1930s or 1940s, those years are not interesting, they're just "antiques".
It's all late 50s to early 70s and that's for a really good reason.
It's pretty much all of reddit at this point, because they've banned every based sub and made the rest of them gay.
They're cool, no doubt, but they're not "classic cars", they're "antique" or "collectable", but people don't drive them for the same reason they drive a GTO or a Mustang.
either Ford or Mercury
(i saw one in a drag racing movie when i was like 5 or 6 )
fucking love those cars
will be a cool roadtrip car one of these days
