Compared to the old kitchen clips, the Toyota Tacoma clips are a bit creepy.

Waaaaay back when I was a poor college student, the dashboard lights on my old Honda went out. So I bought one of those flexible map lights that plugs into the cigarette lighter, and bent it around so it would shine on the speedometer when I had to drive at night.

Last Sunday I went into town and filled up the 14-gallon diesel tank I use for my lawnmower and five of the 5-gallon gas cans I keep for my generator. Gas was $2.49 and diesel was $3.39.

On Monday afternoon gas jumped up to $2.89 and diesel $3.99.

Currently they are $2.99 and $4.39 respectively.

I'm not sure how far sober Jonny can run, but history (and arrest reports) show that drunk Jonny can only run about 30 yards.

Damn. I got to see those guys in concert several times. One of my old college buddies was the sales manager for the big rock station near their hometown of Escatawpa, Mississippi.

Whenever they came back home and put on a show, my buddy always got us free tickets.

Well, Jonny is currently forbidden by the Golden Girls from drinking rum. The boxed wine he is allowed to drink just isn't conducive to producing any drunken rants.

I'm kinda out in the country. I see one every once in a while, but nothing like the dozens I would see at any one time when I was a kid 40 years ago.

It appears the feeling is mutual....
