Luckily that same overdriven pinpoint blue-pump phosphor LED technology has also become ubiquitous in car headlights, too. I've only driven at night like twice ever, and have already been so blinded by modern headlights, from the car _behind me_, that I've nearly wrecked. I genuinely do not think that with any amount of practice, I could drive safely at night while modern LED headlights exist. I don't think I have any sort of eye conditions. And yet the slightest reflection of a modern headlight fills my entire vision

That's a bit what my recent Linux experience has been like tbh. The BSDs are less bad, but still kinda going that direction tbh.
Although, at least in my case, I'm _usually_ low on RAM, although with plenty of swap left. Though, even with plenty of RAM, Linux is just not as smooth and speedy and reliable as it used to be.

I admit our LCD isn't as good as the CRT it replaced. But then, nothing really is.
Don't really see the point in buying a "better" TV anyway, if it'll suddenly make me discontented with everything else I own.
A good display is one that makes what you have look good, not one that makes you get new stuff to look good.
Great thing about stuff like good headphones is, they make everything sound better, rather than requiring FLACs
