@rose Proton is probably the same. Just a different agency.
I trust Proton more than Nord etc. but yeah like any "privacy" provider that gets too big they eventually fall off. I wouldn't use them to do anything I don't want my local glowie looking at. You can't even register for an account through Tor. And idk if they let you pay with Monero.

I don't even understand the point of having an "extreme" VPN. Like my usecase for VPNs is open public WiFi, that's it. What even is the use case, when Tor works fine and you have to click on the boats all the time anyway now.

Only reason I have a VPN is to get rid of the germans, which is like the same reason pretty much every average person has a VPN, to watch a netflix show from different countries
