Wasn't there a post a while back about Pornhub enabling "social login" and supporting LinkedIn as an auth provider, and the comment was something like "Dude, I don't want my porn friends knowing I use LinkedIn!"
And that there is a lot more of it, faster, and the bugs produced are all "correctly shaped" unlike artisanal human bugs,
If you replace a junior with #LLM and make the senior review output, the reviewer is now scanning for rare but catastrophic errors scattered across a much larger output surface due to LLM "productivity."
That's a cognitively brutal task.
Humans are terrible at sustained vigilance for rare events in high-volume streams. Aviation, nuclear, radiology all have extensive literature on exactly this failure mode.
I propose any productivity gains will be consumed by false negative review failures.
Important vs urgent.
It's easy to confuse the two.
"Urgent" is based on deadlines and due dates.
"Important" is based on stakes and consequences of (in)action.
Urgent things can become important as their deadlines approach.
Important things usually stay important, regardless of urgency.
Addressing climate change is both. 50 years ago it was just as important, but arguably less urgent then.
Breathing is both important and urgent.
Work is frequently urgent, but not always important.
