He brought a gun, knowing this, and then on top of that, then decided to directly interfere with them going to arrest someone else that had been obstructing them, knowing that he was armed, and thus, would be more of a threat to them, and thus putting himself in danger. The absolute best possible case here for your position is that he was too retarded to understand that his actions -especially in the context of the actions of all the other protestors and the many calls by figure heads on his side calling for killing of ICE agents- have consequences.

He had multiple prior felonies, which precluded him from legally carrying any firearm. Domestic violence. He then decided to violently harass law enforcement in the charge of their duty. He drew a firearm during said confrontation.
What you're presenting is the leftist narrative that he was a "peaceful" law abiding citizen and this is a case of government overreach (which no one thought about applying to forced integration and troops sent in, but hey). This is the framing they use, the jewish framing, of provocation and harassment then crying victim when they get the response and using that as justification for even more violence.

If you go out and intentionally get in a fight with any armed man (law enforcement, civilian, or gang member), and you know that other person is armed, and then get shot, don't cry about it afterwards. People in the country illegally are being sent home, especially those that have committed some other crime. That is a totally normal thing that literally every country in recorded history has done.
