@merchantHelios Uh, played on private servers for quite a time before Classic Wow got released. If you bounced off FFXIV, you're really not gonna like WoW. The appeal is that of many other RPGs, but you can play with other people and flex on them. Very fond of the space goats and blood elves.

@merchantHelios WoW makes more sense in context, and after WoW released, most other MMOs were WoW but worse, and all your friends were playing it and were able to get together for "Raid Night". In fact, I know an Orthodox priest who met his wife playing WoW. If you were in the market for an MMO you had a choice between Ultima Online, Final Fantasy 11 (but that was for weebs), Runescape 2, Star Wars Galaxies, EVE Online, and Everquest.
@merchantHelios Scuffed but workable. The real dark age of EVE Online was when they did the walking in stations update and made everybody play like this while docked and it was dogshit. This only ever made sense for Dust 514 specifically. I would still be playing if multiboxing wasn't essential and the sub wasn't at least 20 bucks a month.
