The Framework 12 is hard to justify, especially now that the MacBook Neo is here.
It's not a bad laptop, just a bad value, especially with RAM and storage prices as they are :(

Like monopolism vs communism, in both only handful really control everything, yielding similar internal no-oxigen situation.
Let's pry the sides for more room in between, where my current Framework laptop currently is.
@mikalai let's be honest: the only real choice is whatever allows you to operate in the real world without restrictions. That means every website better work, on mobile devices all the banking/finance apps have to work, etc etc. Telling people they have to compromise is elitist and unrealistic.
