I genuinely can't tell if you're just being silly right now, so forgive me if I'm a bit blunt, but one very useful method of recognizing useful edible or medicinal plants is by their flowers. I thought this was obvious, and not something constrained to gender. I was not talking about "cultivating flowers", but farmers and gardeners who recognize or are interested in looking up flowers to see what sorts of things are growing on their property - "is this a useful plant or not? Will this plant cause problems in the future?" etc.

Even so, I would bet that there are quite a higher number of men than women who cultivate flowers just for their flowers, as there are certainly more men in farming in general, but I could certainly be wrong on that count. Again, I didn't mean *flower farmers* and I'm not sure how I came across that way.

Yes, that's pretty much exactly my point? If you want to argue this topic, I can link you to a few people on fedi who are more knowledgeable than I on recognizing plants by their flowers to see which ones are useful for food, fodder, or medicinal purposes (and there are a *lot* more than the average person/ city dweller thinks).

In my case alone, looking up "what is this plant growing on my property" has been life-changing (my favorite example: mullein has basically cured my persistent cough and I rarely have allergic reactions anymore). Looking up plants is not a female-only trait, and I don't know why it would be.
