@Bush No lie, and you might not appreciate this from me but I don't mind this... I do NOT think he is the friend of Québec mind you. I just don't mind him increasing the antagonism. Anything that can help jump start a separatist movement is ok by me. I do not want Québec to join the USA or any weird alternative projects. I just want my people to have their own sovereign home (as sovereign as any modern state is, even vassals).
Quebecois have had Canada in somewhat of a chokehold for years now. Back in the 70s Canada tried to assimilate them, that didn't go so well, so they got their own semi-sovereign territory and Canada agreed to give them infinite welfare and leave them alone.

A running theme is that people who live nearby to French speakers tend to experience bullying.

Same thing happens to the Germans 😆

@Sovereign @Bush @Snidely_Whiplash @cjd The whole Distinct Society thing was a kludge, with provincial autonomy, bilingualism and protection of Catholic education, there to get an agreement to Confederation with the rest of the provinces at the time. Americans had to make deals and compromises of their own based on their own unique circumstance to create their country as well.

But the entire world has changed. And no doubt erasing Quebec and its people as a distinct nation is an important item on the globalist check list.

The Supreme Court ruling that Quebec cannot unilaterally separate from the rest of Canada when there is every intention to erase it makes the ruling absurd.

Hard choices ahead for everyone.
