I pretend to support it just for solidarity with the south-- but honestly the whole "unsweet" tea always did annoy me. It should be "unsweetened"

@bajax I say unsweet because its faster and I've noticed in restaurants if you say unsweetened or non-sweetened they misshear it and fuck up your order and give you sugar saturated sweet tea which you were trying to avoid. It's really just retarded that it is sweetened by default in the first place.
@ArmadilloRancher @icst thing is the kind of low quality tea they drink does taste nasty on its own (not much better with sugar mind you). it has almost none of the nice flavors of real tea

My uncle always complains when he visits that our regular iced tea plus sugar is also not the same 🤔
The only time I drink unsweet tea is at big family gatherings, after it's been a few hours and the sweet tea is all gone and the only thing left is that pitcher of iced dirt water.
