instead of age verification just require isps to use a dns whitelist that the owner can control. then you can effectively parent your kids' access.

@sun Most ISP have custom router shit nowadays, if not separate security apps, and they usually keep the devices that connected on it. This could easily be applicable per computers

@billiam not exactly. DNS is a richer interface than /etc/hosts including different ips for different record types, and multiple load balanced destinsations for a name, wildcards, etc.
Isn't this pretty much what those e.g., netnanny products do?
@sun this would be perfect for the gateway? set up what the different devices can visit. mobile use goes via a vpn through the home gateway.
