@sun if ur printer is a crap ender 3 then it's another story but for the most part it's just knowing a couple basic design/printing principles like not printing things that are impossible to print like giant overhangs with no support or not having enough bed adhesion and how the strength from layer lines will affect the final part but it's pretty easy compared to most mechanical engineering/makering stuff

@shibao @sun the high end is definitely already appliance tier, but even the very cheap printers do a dozen times better than what was available before

still better to just not get one at all though for most people
@sun @i @shibao I have 2 Prusas. They seem like working okay, little trouble. In fact, I cycled through 1 by now. It was a Mk3S and it developed an issue with Y axis crash. I ran with with crash detection disabled for a few months, then bought another Mk4. Imagine my surprise when it turned out that they revved up the head. So now I have 2 Mk4s and they have disparate heads. At least the nozzles are compatible.
