my brother's business is blowing up with sales a day after some lady on tiktok walked in unannounced doing a livestream, the fediverse is a joke if that's the type of network effect you want.

@sun Tiktok has a lot of accounts that are dedicated to helping revive struggling businesses. They're so good and I've found great food that way too.

But yeah fedi is niche. My friends and family have maybe heard of Mastodon before but have likely already forgotten. They all use Tiktok or Instagram, every single one of them
