@i @lain @sun The two features I'm in the process of building into Pleroma are both incompatible with Mastodon, one will be a new FEP. Do you think I care that Mastodon users won't be able to take advantage of them? No, they can try to convince their emotionless CEO to support them. Not my problem.

@phnt @i @lain are we all on the same page, we're just building the mastodon network now and it's not perfectly speaking the activitypub network but it has massively more investment and respect for it than that other project

@sun @i @lain Mastodon and Pleroma fixed ActivityPub, the spec as defined is almost useless to build a network on. It's a recipe on how to build your own federated activity-based protocol.

I'm not building the Mastodon network, I'm building a network based on ActivityPub that tries to be compatible with everything while not making compromises because of it. My absolute end goal is a V2 spec that is actually usable, or LitePub V1. And FEPs are just a vehicle for that.
