I tried the Vtuber thing again, and hearing a bunch of 30-something year old women bounce back and forth between acting like a genki Japanese high schooler and a 30-something year old woman just doesn't do it for me

@Ree I don't know, I guess I can't suspend disbelief long enough to be fine with that. I think a lot of it's the weird "idol culture" surrounding it. If you want to use it as a mask to act goofy, or even try to play a role, sure. Just make sure you can pull it off. And if you outgrow it? Maybe it's time to find a new schtick.

@Ree The only one I watch semi-consistently is some redneck ex-nurse with some crazy laugh. She's pretty open about herself and just Vtubes instead of uses her face for fun. I like the honesty.
