It's turning out that almost every youtuber that hopped in during the GamerGate wave has been either a massive industry plant or a glowie asset. Count Dankula and Sargon of Akkad have been the only ones to come out mostly unscathed lol.

I've got to give credit to Bearing really because he was one of the ones honest about himself. The guy just likes RV boats but he saw what they were doing with GamerGate and called it out.

The amount of outright fraud and lying just so these guys can pass themselves off as 'gamers' when they're clearly not is remarkable.

As for examples there should be specialised structures you can build etc. like hydroponics farms but bigger. I don't know why they keep doing this but devs keep underestimating how obsessive gamers who like building and looting are. The provided mechanics are never enough lol.

You're right they do I hadn't properly taken that into account. In Tundra and Ice biomes there are barely any animals because of that. What the dev should have done is allowed for a bit more of a sophisticated farming setup in the hostile environments to make ranching more viable.

As it stands it seems like the best way to do a proper ranching gameplay is to pick maybe a jungle or perhaps ideally a desert biome then you've got consistent hot temperatures.
Randomly making notes on Rimworld maths because I find it interesting. Wildlife carries no risk of being outside, even -11c temperature cold doesn't affect them, I thought that was annoying.

Meanwhile the second you tame them and put them in pens you have to get a secondary barn building at a minimum to keep them all alive and stockpiling tons of hay is very necessary. I think I worked out how to automate it all properly but it is extremely annoying, you need a lot of hay to keep them fed probably triple what you think is necessary to maintain the nutrition.

Yeah I wouldn't do any kind of animal system or hunger mechanic this way, I think it's a bit of a balance problem more than anything.
Just like with Godot, UE5 has a ton of built in tools that let you check when pieces of code and actions have been finished. I'm finding the secret sauce to the turn based games now, it's so much easier than I thought LOL.

Making sure to get rid of silly stuff like being able to click the end turn button when you're still waiting for a move to finish.
I have a high suspicion that the AAA marketers and other 'researchers' aren't even bothering to count and calculate indie sales the way I am. I frequently do comparisons as part of my research to see what's doing well among other things. It's pure corpo propaganda to try and claim the games industry is dead.

This is the normie equivalent of Walmart getting butthurt and saying the economy has fallen on hard times because they're going out of business and in an alternate world everyone rejected them and went for the high street shopping instead.
I'm going to be blunt here guys, I appreciate not wanting to leave the country and everything, that's an aspect to this whole mess I understand. However the 'nationalists' who do online larping and fedposting with zero risk to themselves really piss me off.

They'd be the first to start crying if they were hauled off to jail for tweets, utterly stupid people. They've got main character syndrome as badly as the delusional leftists trying to camp outside places they think ICE are at.
