@kaia last week was the first time in years where i was in a shop and they wouldn't accept credit cards (it was in germany, 'nur EC')

@lain @kaia the bane of my existence (i am not a DBS/POSB bank customer) (this is the only way you can get refunded for a new bottle deposit they introduced nationwide)

@cell @lain @kaia That happened a lot over here during the 2008 credit crunch; most places stopped accepting credit cards, though you could still use debit cards just fine. There are also places that sell cheap or low-value items like birthday card shops that don't take any form of card because they just get screwed on the transaction fee.
