I just had an opportunity to use the phrase "I admire your ability to reach that level of confidence without the inconvenience of competence" at work

@cR0w @Bumblefish before my dog lost her hearing, she knew the specific sound of the cheese drawer opening and would run from wherever she was to start dancing for cheese. We now have to signal to her that the cheese drawer is open so she doesnβt miss out.
Network TV here in Atlanta is absolutely jammed with political commercials and one may be led to believe that Georgia has a real problem securing its border with Mexico
This talk of rings reminds me - I never hear about the scourge of laundry doers worldwide from 40 years ago - ring around the collar. Whatever happened to that?
I grew up thinking that I was going to have way more problems with quicksand and ring around the collar.

I accidentally posted the audio of the wrong episode the first time around. I have placed myself on unpaid leave as a result of this grave error.
Do you ever just really need a nap?
@paco that's not a bad idea, but not sure who can afford that any more. I'll just go up to what used to be my kids' rooms and sleep there.
@simonzerafa @paco maybe some day for me. I have an elderly dog, so sleep (and anything else) comes in blocks of about 2 hours. I was out playing in the yard with her at 2:30am last night because she couldn't sleep and decided that was everyone's problem.
Good news - I am down in my basement and shortly after I started hearing the release from the SBR upstairs, the major stock market indexes cut their losses quite a bit. Lacie is trying very hard to help us out.
