@lain @sun @aetios depends on the specific tax. no thoughts about tourists.

but i think residents should be incentivized to care about the place the live in and be able to vote.

i would go rather the "give people the right to vote" route rather than "dont tax people at all"

lets take cell for example. he lives and works (soon again i believe) in sg. i think he should be able to vote or pay less/taxes. or certain taxes not at all.

in germany we have like 15% of people without german citizienship. if all of them would vote they could be the third biggest party besides afd and cdu (2025, cdu getting close to third place in the hyptothetical)
@lain @sun @aetios i think infrastructure and social structure by a state/goverment is useful.

if people want to make their own state somewhere with libertarian ideals without any taxes or optional taxes only, and everything is paid for voluntarily by private people or cooperations i dont mind. i might be worried about people getting born or forced into this system somehow. but as long as thats solved i dont mind.

i believe a state taking care of its sick or weak people, or infrastructure, education and co is in general good social structure. i know we disagree on the following but "forced" taxes seem to me to be the current best solution for the common good . i believe a state should be the foundation for people to prosper, not a jail.
