12When I worked on the Ford what I found interesting (aside from it having a Starbucks crewed by seamen) is that the bathroom sinks were made of carbon fiber, presumably for weight.
Carbon fiber sinks make it go faster [through budgets, that is].
That whole project was always over budget and behind schedule. They wanted to have it done by 2016 and that was clearly not happening. Lots of new technology on that ship including the magnetic launchers and lasers.
The sinks at least made sense, with that many fixtures on a vessel I'm sure the weight reduction adds up.

@rebootbrain @lord_nougat lots of people talking shit. Literally.
The Marines would pull keys off the keyboards when they were bored, I wouldn't be surprised to hear they flush them too
But they EAT them first. Probably.
@lord_nougat @rebootbrain a real shit show
>The Ford also doesn't have urinals, despite its 80%+ male crew
Warship afflicted with GeNDeR NeUtRaL bathroom nonsense?
[sigh]

@MCMLXVIIOTG @Terry @lord_nougat @rebootbrain Why wouldn't they just piss off the edge of the ship like a normal man
@graf @MCMLXVIIOTG @Terry @lord_nougat @rebootbrain why didnt the on board engineers build toilets that dump right into the ocean yet

They're already dumped two F18s into the Red Sea, LOL.
If anyone can get an AI render of them pushing Port-A-Johns off the deck that'd be great.
