On rsync alternatives: rclone with sftp backend may be faster when parallelized (anecdata, unconfirmed). The "shortcomings" some cite may be readily addressed: Cryptomator provides AES based encryption with SIV for deniable metadata, zfs at the provider has snapshots, and optional de-dupe.
rclonebrowser may be used if you really want a GUI.
