why is Wireguard so terrible

what good is the KeepAlive setting if it doesn't have any affect? My tunnels were down for hours because my internet failed over and back and the wg tunnels didn't re-establish. Just a bunch of tunnels with "Last handshake: many hours ago"...

@feld I ended programing a regular ping and restart service for that.
