@mint @creamqueen @sendpaws @Cocoa how do you manage to fit AMD cards and an Nvidia card in the same system?
@mint @creamqueen @sendpaws @Cocoa Mint-san does it... does it work? I mean can you use that PC to play games?
@Bunbun1984 @creamqueen @sendpaws @Cocoa Yeah, why not. Radeon card is for desktop and games, Nvidia is for CUDA and GPU passthrough into VMs. You can render games on Nividia with PRIME offload but since both cards are similar in spec, this mostly just adds more latency.
@Bunbun1984 @mint @Cocoa @creamqueen @sendpaws there was briefly a time after VR was gaining popularity where it was all the rage to stuff 2 gpus into your pc, but is no longer necessary.
@YouDoNotHaveTheRight @Cocoa @creamqueen @mint @sendpaws yes I faintly remember SLI when it was the rage. But pretty disappointing to learn that the performance increase was 25% or less.
@Cocoa @creamqueen @Bunbun1984 @sendpaws Palit moment
Actually it's more like 2.5 slots, I think it fit the COM port breakout bracket fine before I moved it onto the lower port for whatever reason. Still could be slimmer, yeah.
