There was no question of reasonable doubt that she committed the act because her defense did not contest that she did. The "reasonable doubt" in this case is whether her insanity claim can be accepted.

But if you accept her claim, then you probably also have to accept that most serial killers are also "insane" (after all, what rational motive do they have?). And at that point, the whole idea of "law" is severely compromised.

But it is anyway, we are living through a period of decline. The will of western society to punish rape (Rotherham), murder, child molestation (Epstein), etc is steadily fading. We're all living though Sodom and Gomorra before God's Judgement.

This situation is of course unsustainable. Men will not take up arms to defend a system which lacks any meaningful rule of law. So the powers that be will either change the system, or they will be replaced, and their replacements will change it. Even if we have to learn Chinese, this situation *will* eventually end.

And women's rights will probably end with it, because in times of struggle, the only people who truly matter are those who will decide whether to take up arms for the country or not. When all political power grows from the barrel of a gun, women, children, elders and immigrants do not have a say.
