Lotta people believe a lot of things. You've got like oligarch level old money people believing conspiracy theories that are so implausible they don't even get traction here - and these guys are running around thinking that this means they're winning. Mark as their slave is like ... if you believe it does...
But the thing about circumcision that something's taken from you and you can really never get it back. What that fundamentally teaches is that when you get the L, you gotta wear it, forever. But with MOST THINGS, if you're prepared to do enough violence you can absolutely get it back.

One is that, unlike Christians, they do not believe in converting their slaves to their religion.
Another is that they believe it's unclean for their slaves to be intact and do things like serve them wine.
So they want their slaves to be cut but not with view to religiously convert them to their religion.

Definitely the violence.
As far as I know, losing your foreskin doesn't really change your life trajectory that much - even if you might feel offended by it.
However, losing your COUNTRY is an extremely serious matter that will affect you every day of your life and your childrens' lives. And this IS something you can absolutely get back, if you're prepared to do what it takes...
