It's not technology per se, it's technological post-scarcity creating a Rat Utopia scenario.

That is literally the reason bruh.
Think about it. In order to open up and flirt, you need to push boundries in a socially unacceptable way. That is the entire point. To get to a point, where social norms no longer apply between the two of you.
Yet instead, now we live in a world, where there is no safe place to attempt crossing that line, and punishment for such a failure is jail and complete social condemnation.

I got one of those quirky "barn doors" for our room & still no lock. My 6-y.o. would bust it in 5 sec flat, anyhow. Think The Shining, but it's all good... keeping it legal still.

8 1/2 fucking years and Thing 2 is bursting into the bedroom every night without fail. You have to time sex just after they've gone to sleep as that first couple of hours is the only garunteed privacy. But they won't fall asleep without someone sitting by their bed for an hour.

#1 (girl) was called Little Monster and also Strong Independent Baby, now she's almost 4 so we just mostly call her by name
