@CapitalB well, it might fly in Europe, both EU and non EU states, definitely in China and such, but something tells me they'll have a real hard time selling it to the US. The NSA is not about to give up its ultimate say on who can and who can't use the interwebz and spying possibilities, so there's that.

I mean, doesn't an internet connection kind of imply you're >18 because if not, how are you paying for it?

@cjd @bonifartius @CapitalB yeah, I mean, they can totally come up with oauth-like thing that will require you to provide your actual state issued ID in order to get an account - that's totally doable, but then they'd need to somehow force every single website to require this kind of authentication for access. I don't see how they can possibly enforce it

Just don't use the dumb websites that demand it, problem solved. It's gonna be the top 10 websites that are all way way way too big anyway...

Office365, eHealth, parking tickets, gas station/manure/electricity rations, car mileage, border crossing (and dont you stupid Americans think they wont use state or outright despotic lines crisscrossing deliberately through integrated areas), subsidies, maybe even grocery store entry (muh knife violence), Autobahn toll, general media consumption (imagine ALL media tight to eID), CBDCs (obvious), fundrug and UBI.
