@cjd if they'd just ignored the rest of EU and did some joint ventures without childish infighting benelux/france/germany/spain/italy could pull off nice projects
@cjd i think the ethanol and seed oil based stuff is less taxed here as well. problem is that for those you use up fossil fuel for the fertilizers :)
if not everyone was full retard in germany they'd take the taxes and build up a coal liquefaction infrastructure again. guess we just like being ripped off by everyone here.

@cjd you know what would give a price advantage? at least half of it not being taxes or "CO2" compensation.
@cjd they could just go to putin, say "you know what, let's repair nord stream for old times sake?"
(... "while we're at it just do a third pipe for oil. interested in doing an opely licensed parallel processing semiconductor architecture together with china?")

@cjd the whole ukraine thing is SO fucking retarded (and obviously connected to the current happening)
if europe was smart, they'd go for a "not even worth fighting over" ppositionfor themselves. no resources, just a bit trading around, chillaxing.
@cjd i have no clue but from what i've read isn't the belt supposed to be read only save appending to the tail to prevent problems?
@cjd didn't know about mill design, looks interesting on a cursory read.
at uni we did this with programmable logic gates (iirc), very 80s :) but pretty good fun, certainly easy to build a small calculator like poc with those.

@cjd did design a very small cpu/computer at uni, that was fun :)
@hfaust or just use fucking morphine, who the fuck needs these ultra strong opiates.
@sun it's pretty interesting that there are new made cassette tapes and vinyl. wonder if someone will buy up old machinery for crts and make them, or if all that stuff already has been trashed.
@sun i have way too much shit as well, but i also got bitten by throwing stuff out and 5 years later it was crazy valuable. still beat myself up over throwing out CRTs.
in other news, i need to buy some quality cheese again soon, i have a hankering for appenzeller or morbiere. hope something good is discounted.
