@lain @augustus I remember I wrote a brief piece on gun kata in a film studies course I did in school.

@VD15 @lain I think Equilibrium sucked as a film despite some really cool ingredients, gun kata was one of them. can't really put my finger on why it failed though. I think maybe making all the characters be unable to emote due to the narrative didn't help it. that Will Smith film After Earth also flopped with a similar gimmick of no emotions allowed
