Reference to Genesis 3:22, an easter egg in the bible which shows that the snake actually told Eve the truth.

@cjd @ZeroSum06 this assumes you believe the bible is literal not myth. The truth was that the snake was capital/patriarchy/tribalism
I was not raised religious, so I can't make myself "see" the bible as fact - but I'm still very admirative of it's ability to organize 2000 years of the most advanced civilizations on the planet.
@cjd @ZeroSum06 @Sherri_Ingrey
The Bible doesn't even have to be fact, you just have to not be a retard with the interpretation.
An atheist might read Cain amd Abel and think "omg Christians so violent."
An evangelical can read the exact same story and only see the human tragedy.
A normal person reads it and realizes that power lies with the first guy to pick up and use the jawbone.

@cjd @ZeroSum06 I had a mother that dragged me to High Anglican services until I balked completely when I was 13 but I had been teaching Sunday School since 11 - I was a bit precocious, I started high school at 13. I haven''t been invested in religion since then, 60 years ago. But I studied on my own comparative religions because I was interested in how much women and children were "worth" in them.
@cjd @ZeroSum06 and that also shows that you think "civilization" is good. And I challenge WHICH civilizations are good for the people and the planet and not just the wallets of the Masters.
Well, the civilization you (the general you) prefers is the one you choose to live in. If you really like another one better, it's easy enough in this modern world to just move.
@cjd @ZeroSum06 do you think dubya really jerked off in front of his dad to get one of those rings?
@cjd @ZeroSum06 When I was young, I spent 5 months in Spain. I LOVED Barcelona, even more than Paris. I met a Spanish doctor a beautiful man from a rich family that marketed dialysis machines, he wanted to marry me and have me work France and the UK for him. But Spain - a married woman couldn't hold property in 1978. So I refused. I could have thought that through better. I could have married him in Canada, got right to abode in the UK because three of my grandparents and my father were born in Britain, and had an ENTIRELY different life. I was just about to start my legal career in Canada, which turned out to be as anti climatic as it goes, but whatever. The choices we make.
Who knows, probably
