Nvidia accounting for most of the revenue is pretty funny. Although it does raise the question if they spent it all on chips and Nvidia has made less than they spent, where is the money?

@WandererUber @teto nvidia operates more similarly to a bank in this regard, selling chips and infrastructure to other companies to keep the massive revenue losses off of their balance sheets.

it's hard to analyze this properly. Nvidia has put a lot of money into AI because the market has shown demand for those chips.
They of course have been developing models for a while, I think I remember reading something a while ago about them making one that generated realistic faces?
But if there was no demand, they would just still be making normal graphics hardware, I imagine.
