The music shop near me has a bunch of new japanese city pop CDs and like I think that's quite cool that they have sealed imports with the obi and all but it is a little frustrating that that is the _entirety_ of their japanese music selection. Like it would be nice if they had other, used, japanese album releases even if it was from best selling bands.

Actually funny story about this. I bought a load of prewritten minidiscs from some dude on discord once who had bought like 1000 used discs from Japan and in amongst the discs with random japanese music from the 00s there was a disc that was written to with the best of the doobie brothers. I assumed I got an American disc in the lot up until I saw this at the music shop the other day and realised that the doobie brothers must have just been popular in Japan for some reason lol
