Let's take the Netherlands for example. Average income (after tax) is 3300 euro per month. You work an average of 170 hours a month (40 hour workweek).
3300 / 170 = 19.41 euro per hour that you earn
GTA VI costs 100 euro because 80 euro base edition strips out features so the real game is the full one.
100 / 19.41 = 5.15 hours to buy the game.
Based on this single example I am going to assume the math is completely wrong for every country.

@SuperDicq @kaia As far as I can tell, it's built on top of a pile of proprietary libraries, with proprietary languages, that the companies will not allow releasing as free software, even after paying them several billion euro's.

@SuperDicq @kaia It depends on the program. With massive AAA slop, with millions of lines of C# etc, replacing things is not that easy.
