@feld That’s me on a mk15 just as my profile pic. I know the units well I know their capabilities.

This is not something to be trifled with. The danger is severe to the unworthy they die. It’s dangerous enough to dive rebreathers without having to play bomb diffuse.

Since these are from what I gather seafloor mines that makes depth even more of an issue. It’s a bad situation.

I own 2 mk15 so not like I’m unaware.

@feld @nolan We all have ideas too. Some better than others I guess? Depends on your origins and problem space. The benefit of a team isn’t that they are magically better it’s they bring different ideas.

Those ideas can come to life that are not necessarily possible before. That’s a big win, yeah it can bring technical debt. But someone make something cool? I’ll spend my time to help if it’s up my alley.

Wasn’t that what it was all about anyway when we make things? Make it work, if it’s ugly it doesn’t matter. Find help if needed to make it pretty or hack on it till it is. Either way it’s always forward.

I should say too, I’m 43 and it took till I was 39 to break into tech. It’s definitely gatekeeper special from hell. You need experience to get experience.
