I knew my dad was hopelessly wicked by the way he always smashed up the ramen noodles before cooking them

4@suquili At least that’s relatively orderly. Not my dad. He’d strangle the package
As a kid I thought "maybe it makes it more fun or something? Why didn't they just make the noodles tiny if that's how it was supposed to be made!?
Didn't realize until I had another when I was much older "OH HAHA THAT'S NOT ON THE INSTRUCTIONS OR ANYTHING MY DAD IS JUST A NUTCASE"
(I love him, but what a goober)
@scenesbycolleen @suquili I suspect my dad did it because of the Biblical commandment not to eat strangled food. I certainly wouldn’t put it past him.
Tbh I’m always relieved when people are still in good with their parents.

4Explain like I'm a TV dad
“Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God: but that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood. For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.”
~ Acts 15:19-21
From the New Testament, even 🙏🏻
@porkcow @scenesbycolleen @suquili If your spaghetti noodles have fent in them, you might be dealing with something more imminently hazardous
