@feld @delta I suspect that my problem is linked to cryptography which Opera probably didn't have to deal with in your scenario!

Delta has to download and decrypt every single message and I think that's why my 12 years old laptop gets a bit hot!

@delta Hello, I have a little problem with Deltachat: I use it on 3 devices and one of those (my laptop) is only used once every 2~4 weeks. Each time I launch Deltachat on this computer it takes several minutes to sync (I use Deltachat all day everyday so that's a lot of messages), and the CPU gets very hot.

Is there any plan to improve this problem? Should I open an issue about it?
