IF you can see the landing site from earth, they should be talking about that quite a bit more - but I've never heard that brought up until this video here...
I think where they a bit screwed themselves is they DID make some fake video, and released it, and now whatever they actually did or didn't do is clouded by doubt because some of it was definitely made up.
