It upsets me that people don't care about privacy and communications security. Mass data harvesting, mass surveillance, digital ID, chat control, VPN restrictions, encryption restrictions, email restrictions, backdoors in every device and component, et cetera - all of it is extremely bad and completely tyrannical.

How can anyone not feel the walls closing in? You're being herded into a pen where you can no longer dissent. After the transposition of the public space into the digital, there isn't really too much of a social/communal backup, like the pub, that everyone goes to without digital organising.

Even modern cars now ping cell towers, so they're constantly tracked, and are beginning to integrate driver cameras, so it doesn't matter if you don't take your phone somewhere, the car itself is spying on you.

There ARE people that care about this but not enough, and even people who should know better are lazy with this stuff and don't put in enough effort.

@CatLord Yeah man I was an Alex Jones fan 20+ years ago trying to tell people about the surveillance state, back before it was this bad. Nobody cares for the most part, or they start caring when it's too late. Things are still too comfortable for people to care yet, and that's part of the plan. I gave up trying to help, they don't want it.
@CatLord I've heard a lot of this— not the alarm over what is being done, but over the lack of reaction to it. I hear it, ironically, mainly from leftists who had, five years ago, sneered and giggled into their shirtsleeves at the "alex jones conspiratards" who balked at the wuflu lockdowns and plans for "vaccine passports" as the prelude to what is now unfolding.

Much of what is happening should be very familiar by now: the government invents a problem that it pretends it is able to solve by radically curtailing your freedom and dignity. Bleating about "think of (grandma|the children)" is sufficient to justify ramming any policy into the law books, worldwide, and half the population goes along with it because they have no dignity and value their freedom the way a fish values a bicycle. Of the other half of the population, half are too busy calling PF feds and watching football to notice this latest in the endless chain of swindles.

The last quarter, consisting of /us/ and I know not who else, seem to reject the narratives, yet accept their inevitability. Even the OP presents our side of the argument as feckless blubbering. We've seen over and over again that the government is unfathomably corrupt and does whatever it wants, increasingly without even a fig leaf to disguise its behavior. Worse, we've come to understand that most of the population deserves such governance.

I wish I knew what to say other than "try to carve out something decent for you and yours, and wait it out." The Kali Yuga will only last another 100,000 years or so, after all.

The problem is that these sites (YT, Netflix, etc) won't really care if you use a VPN, they're going to demand that you self-dox in order to login, and if you don't login then you're either out forever or stuck in a purgatory where you have to identify fire hydrants over and over forever.

The real need is alternative SERVICES...
We still have our homes and luxuries to enjoy. Only when we become a true minority, are actively hunted down and chased out of our homes, into the street by savages carrying torches; will the last remaining Whites finally begin to fight back.
We must lose everything. Only the few remaining that understand our skin is our uniform will survive.
So until that day, accelerate, conditions must worsen until morale improves.
We are still living in the good old days.
