@WandererUber we’ll see, but it depends on how bad inflation gets and what the implications are for job market.
@WandererUber it’s certainly shitty.
The thing with 08 is it really sucked, but it had a long recovery. We had COVID 6 years ago. This current moment can be viewed as stacking economic crises, rather than letting the last one roll out over the course of a decade. It’s the difference between a soft and hard landing. We’re out of parachute.

@WandererUber I’ve been staring into it for a long time. TBH this is one of the few times I feel we might actually have to reconcile with a genuinely bad outcome, which is rare for America.
Starting to get a sense of doom over this whole debt-Hormuz thing.
Vladimir Putin opened the uncest vault and you were there laying inside.
@WandererUber I think that’s an over-simplification, because SOEs are already market participants, and even regular states are technically market participants, so it doesn’t illuminate anything to say that.
I think it gets more to Deng’s principle of keeping a bird in a cage, but at this point it’s gone further than that.
I’m really curious how China keeps lots of low-margin businesses running in a hyper-competitive environment *without* direct state management of enterprises. It’s a unique dynamic, and some of it has to do with the relation of local governments to local enterprises and the competition between local governments, but my gut tells me it’s more than that.
TBH I need to do a big project about this. Might be a good non-coding application of AI.

Not to be a libtard, but this is one of the times Bush was actually stupid.
No one outside China understanding what socialist market economy means results in no one understanding its direction and getting completely caught off guard.
Americans can’t conceive of a market as a distribution principle it has to be an ideology. What does turning an SOE into a modern corporation mean? Now you know.
Objective facts being turned into narratives and being fed back into facts. Forgetting economics isn’t meant to be a beautiful myth.

There’s no way sex magic is real. World’s most obvious excuse to have sex with an art hoe in history.
@Phobos fair
Dread it, run from it, destiny arrives all the same.
@lain @harblinger Yup that one
@WandererUber @nugger I'm talking to the most nigger-brained autist on fedi. What other graph should he have used? Labelling the dates he was elected would've just seemed narcicisstic, since it's not like he invented putting MS13 in prison. He can't post "libtard judges curtailed." El Salvador observers would know 2015 was the year MS13 was declared a terror organization. In 2014 arrests were on the rise but gang leaders were getting cell phones in prison.
It takes a bit of nuance but it's not actually that hard to figure out.

@Will2Power @agaperealm “don’t worry, everyone can tell”
@monsignor_dickface Well that's good news at least. Unfathomable why she would want to marry someone she doesn't want to sleep with. At least there are no children.
Seems like it was a waste of time for everyone, but hopefully things improve.
I really have no advie, these sorts of situations are just scary to read about. Guess the lesson is "marry a nymphomaniac."

@WandererUber @wizardmanperson Apparently almost every part of Burov’s House is concrete, including the facade that looks like marble.
That’s a huge achievement, I’m not complaining.

MANDALARYAN GAMERS RISE UP
This is unironically based and anyone who says we need to inform the electorate is wrong.
“MAGA is when prices are cheap.”
“Couldn’t agree more.”
“Are you Italian?”
“What do I sound like?”
“Forgive me for asking. You have my vote and undying loyalty.”
