Some places it's even illegal to hang up laundry outside (because of this infinite-right-to-contract thing called an HOA). They forbid it because it's considered indicative of poverty - and everybody knows what the Poverty is, that Americans are terrified of, but forbidden to name...

One thing I way over-think is choosing which products to buy, so for example, anything "smart" is just a non-starter.

I'm currently stuck in limbo on selecting a pressure washer to buy because I would rather get electric than gasoline because the price of energy in the form of gas is really high. And I'd like to get the most powerful one available for the money, because nobody ever wanted less pressure, but in the ads, all of the electric ones lie through their teeth about how many watts and bar of power/pressure they put out.

On the bright side, whenever I do finally buy something, I'm usually very happy with it ยฏ\_(ใƒ„)_/ยฏ

The problem with electric power washers with ~120 volt, they top out about 2 hp. Consumer electric devices compete on much better footing with small engines that are limited by weight like chainsaws and weed eaters. But gas pressure washers are typically carted and may have much larger outputs. Electric is cheaper to operate and maintain. Also, still a lot better than a scrub brush.
