I would generally agree, but a lot of projects need new toolchains too and that was a bit of an issue
also i learned quite a lot on that system so while its a fine production unit, it is definitely a mess under the hood

yeah that kinda was my issue with debian was the outdated packages
but I did manage to get by with a install for go and podman for containers
although im not sure how I feel about rpms....
