Botw didnt just ruin Zelda it ruined every Nintendo franchise

hard disagree, I have played them all to completion except some of the early entries (I didn't like windwaker, could not get into it), BoTW and ToTK and I did not finish BoTW yet because I did not want the game to end. I had a blast playing it. ToTK is too gimmicky imo

I think they're fun but there was far more drama and kino in the older games. I lived for those moments. Nu games don't have that as much. Or to the extent they do, they feel poorly executed. I'd like for a Zelda game where the story isn't flashbacks. It's not the type of game that works with that story model.

Animal Crossing fans feel similar about New Horizons apparently. It saw a similar explosion because of covid memes and old fans dislike it because you have too much freedom so it's not really the same game. I played a little bit of New Leaf but didn't like the aspect where *you* were the mayor of the town. So I can kinda relate.

Thanks to the covid troon tourists who refuse to go away, I am dreading the next animal crossing game. So that's pokemon, Mario, zelda and animal crossing and possibly Starfox that they have ruined. What is left to look forward to?

That's really crappy. I like how in the first one you had no control over who moved in. You also had to make sure the place was clean and clear of weeds else people would move out and send you letters about it

Honestly they probably just leaned into their female demographic. Producing a game for women if done Wright 😏 can produce millions.

the only 3d Zelda I beat was ocarina. the game and its systems were perfected in link in time and it’s been down hill since same applies to super Mario world/yoshi‘s island
