It's very possible that the original claim about the legos isn't true, it could be a complicated legal issue that the original people don't fully understand or they are misrepresenting the agreement, but the guy is on video saying if he's sued (which is the perfect, appropriate way of resolving this) that he'll just drag it out so long that it won't be worth it anymore. So, regardless of the merits of the original claim, he himself made "doing it the right way" impossible and brought this on himself. the reckless ben guy himself did a bunch of dumb stuff, some of it illegal, which isn't okay, but that is now not the point lol

When my brother became a contractor he went down to SLC to do construction prior to the 2002 Winter Olympics since there was a big housing boom going on. He got ruthlessly screwed over with people who kept promising to pay him later, so he would go onto another job to try and make money and keep the ball rolling. Eventually he couldn't get anyone to pay, tried to get the police involved, the police sided with the locals and said there was no proof he did any work and threatened to arrest him if he didn't leave the city. Completely fucked my brothers life up, put him tens of thousands of dollars into debt, and was the trigger point that pushed him over the edge, into drugs, and destroyed his life.

The Mormons are never to be trusted.
@meso youtube bricks and minifigs, supposedly some guy put like 200 grand worth of lego, his life's work collecting on consignment, then the company got sold and the new owners allegedly just kept the merchandise and told them they only had an agreement with the original owner, a youtuber got involved and now it's snowballing into a blatantly corrupt police department among other things.
@meso probably the important part here is, when you do this, you still own the property, you don't transfer ownership of the merchandise to the company, they just have possession so they can do the sale.

so this other guy has the lego and he's saying "their agreement is with the last company owner" ok, but when you took ownership of the company, its assets did NOT include those legos so your protest is irrelevant, the lego was never part of any agreement in the first place. but, there could be more going on, but I'm pretty sure he's just lying.
@sun I've been thinking about this too but there's still the initial video footage, contracts, and original owner of the shop that attested to that.
Of course the original owner and the old man and the ytuber could all be accomplice, but like you pointed out the owner of the shop had all the means to go to court and dragged and used scum method to get to quit.
To add a layer on top of this the corruption of the police in the favor of the corporation violating several local and federal and constitutional laws does not help to not put guilt on them.

>the reckless ben guy himself did a bunch of dumb stuff, some of it illegal
I agree but it was done after more immoral response.
@technolyze @vriska I did confirm that at least the owner guy is mormon and ben was playing that angle to try to get information out of him. honestly the more I see this ben guy is actually a harasser to a significant degree, he doesn't show everything on video that he does to the people. but like, the papers were real, the lawsuit was real, and the cops colluded to keep the valid papers from being served, fry them
@sun @vriska @Leyonhjelm I mean seeing the videos myself they never have any one claim they are a bishop, they have a Mormon from a near by ward come by and explain that they just want to have a good faith conversation about the legos, don’t believe the person in question was a fake Mormon or mentioned a fake bishop. They minifigs guy is pretty blatant liar, he lies about the court case being real, lies about the woman being a processor, this is all caught on camera.
