@sun @chrisp @rysiek eh I would argue it's usage is overhyped in the media. Not saying it isn't a thing but I can see a huge demographic of it's users being expats or having some ties to the U.S. Despite El Salvador recognizing Bitcoin as currency it's never reached mass adoption as advertised.
Bitcoin shilling in latinam is a apart of an attempt to establish ZEDEs in various countries. The locals despise them. Countries relying on remittances in their local economy need a stable avenue to send money back home.

@subnetter @chrisp @rysiek that's accurate, it's not being used as a currency and it's not being used by everyone, but it's enough to say it's useful for something.
