@feld every spring people are happy to have sun after 5pm and every fall people are sad the sun is setting at 4pm and living in the dark and then when we propose keeping the happy timezone people come out of the woodwork to say no actually we want to be sad and live in the dark.

@stark but you don't have to be sad and live in the dark. Society can choose to shift business hours by one hour if they really want. Think of it like "holiday hours". We have no problem navigating those, so why not instead have businesses change their hours if they really want to?
