@snacks LIKE WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU BOUGHT A PROXY ON ETSY
YOU BOUGHT A TEXT FILE OF INSTRUCTIONS TO SET UP A DEEPSEEK PROXY ON YOUR MACHINE?

@nugger go to etsy and enter proxy in the search
@piggo @snacks the idea is that you can't just play a card you don't have, but if you want a different artwork you can show that you own the original and play a 'proxy' for the original. of course outside of official wotc tournaments nobody cares about that, but wotc wants the most powerful card to be the credit card so they don't condone it for tournaments.
@lain @snacks @nugger the newest chatgpt makes perfectly competent anime style art, you can generate art that doesn't look ugly or weird at all. now people complain it's too perfect, but it's obvious bullshit because it just looks identical to like, gacha games from a year ago that nobody seriously bitched about.
@lain @sun @snacks GOOD LORAS FOR THE LINEWORK AND STYLE, AND THE WHITE OUTLINE REALLY BREAKS UP THE IMAGEGEN TELL OF UNIFORM DETAIL DENSITY BY MAKING YOU FOCUS MORE ON THE CHAR AND MAKING IT LOOK LIKE THE CHAR HAS MORE DETAIL
@lain @snacks @piggo when nexus of fate was played you notably *had* to proxy that shit in tourneys because the only available print was a box promo with eye watering foil and bent profile or embossed letters or some shit that marked you card sleeves. so no you don't
@sun @lain @nugger @snacks a part of it is also because i don't sense any overall direction right now besides "here are pngs of girls my type"
for a gacha game to work, the player has to want to roll for the png. why should they choose /your/ pngs, in an era where we are absolutely flooded with pngs, especially when people with low expectations can just AI output their own pngs?
examples that worked:
>this png is based off a real boat
>this png is based off a real horse
>this png is a character in a coherent story setting
>this png is voiced by my favorite VA
maybe it's not fair to you because you barely started yet, but it'd be nice to see some direction at some point

@nugger @AmericanChampion @lain @sun @snacks I try and avoid ComfyUI as much as I can. I use a customized Forge Neo fork of A1111 with models I've trained myself over the years, almost no LORAs if I can help it. I also do a lot of post processing with Clip Studio and Photoshop. I do graphics design work on the side so I have access to a lot of professional tools.
@AWIVR @lain @snacks @AmericanChampion @nugger I prefer comfyui because you can do a lot more. I have made loras but my success rate for that is pretty low.
